I couldn't post this in the updates thread, due to me not being VIP anymore. Sorry! :)

As you see there is "twitter integration" above, meaning if you select the application, instead of updating just your Klydo status, you can also update your Twitter status, and vice versa.

It has some nice effects on it, after you enter your status it fades out, and by clicking on the bubble.. comes back in :)

Can change it on every page.

I would just like to point out, if you don't have a Twitter account, it will still work and just update your Klydo status :)

You can watch it in action here:

Just like to point out that this is a Mac view of the website. If you are a Windows user the fonts display Arial where as on a Mac they will display Georgia styled headers with Lucida Grande styled text everywhere else. This is due to the fact Mac handles these two fonts much greater than Windows does so we've had to restrict them to Mac only. In Wndows the Georgia font is very scratchy and Lucida Grande doesn't even exsit as a default font.

This is looking very nice guys, kudos to both of you. Only thing I would say is, in the twitter box where you have the pointer when you either hover over a link or click a link. It doesn't sit right with the line underneath the object, might want to look at that.

That was just in the screenshot :) Greg had his pointer over the icon, when he took the screenshot it hid the pointer.

You know where it says

"Welcome Greg to Klydo"

Isn't that a grammar mistake? Should it not be something like "Welcome to Kyldo Greg" or "Welcome Greg, to Klydo" Or summin lOL

What our plan is, is to intergrate as much of the current websites into Klydo as possible. This way you can still use services you used before without completely disconnecting from them. Therefore things such as Twitter, Last.FM and YouTube can all be worked on via the Klydo website. Meaning you don't have to spend your time going around different sites :)

Which I have found very useful myself, and it isn't even open :)

It's not a great first impression that I had to highlight your signature image to read the text.

It can be used for both hello and goodbye. Nice development.

Ciao means goodbye in italian, not hello.
Ciao means Hello, people just assumed it meant goodbye as from the way it spelt people who read English would pronounce it Seeao which can be mislead as Cya.

the welcome to klydo bit isn't nesessary, deleting it will increase your whitespace thus making the layout look more clean and modern.

Klydo
05-05-2008, 08:33 PM
Um, the site is white therefore a break from whitespace is welcome :P

"Ciao" for the most part is used for goodbye, you're going to confuse a lot of people. I suggest choosing another word, maybe Bonjour, aloha etc.

He's trying to do it in different languages.

Greg, as much as it is gramatically correct, it will confuse people.

I suggets using 'Salve' more commonly used for greeting one.

We'll see how it goes as it's pretty hard to get Hello in all the different languages as quite often they don't have a word for hello. Pretty sure I seen that Japanese just say each other's names instead of saying hello. Which I don't understand because what if they never knew each other? :P

The site's looking good so far, but one thing I absolutely hate is the "Keep loggin your days online" crap. What the hell does that mean? It sounds like you're telling us to count how many days we're online.

The Japanese always refer to eachother by name.

Keep logging your days online, it's way too generic and long to be associated as K.L.Y.D.O., furthermore it sounds like we should keep a tab as your going to kill us all. Like it's some kind of huge revolution.

Klydo
06-05-2008, 12:40 AM
The point of "Keep Logging Your Days Online" is it's shortened to Klydo. So I don't understand how it can be "long" when it's main purpose is to be shortened anyway. Also it doesn't sound like we're going to kill you all.

Nike's slogan is "Just Do It" if you took that on face value then it means do what they say or else. You're looking to indepth about a slogan.

I have to admit "Keep logging your days online" Sounds like some suicide hunt.

Klydo
06-05-2008, 01:16 PM
Which part signifies a "suicide" hunt...? The slogan means to keep your life updated by using Klydo. As we log every you and your friends do and provide it on site for you to see. So the slogan is basically saying to keep your life online up to date. I don't see an issue with that.

Yeah but you see not many people would be happy with that as it sounds too much like your logging everything they do?

For their useage, we don't see it. Facebook does this and many people love it so we've put it into Klydo also. It can be disabled of course through Privacy as I quite often find it intrusive. It's really used for friends knowing what each other is up to and to find people they know through their current friends.

The logs show you who's added who, latest comments, new pictures and so on.

Klydo

I want to make it so IPs are hidden yet can still be used if you get what I mean. So say for instance a member of the authorities wishes for someone's IP then we can still give it to them. The way I want IP banning to work is that there is just a button and the system does it for the staff so there is no seeing of the IP.

Although these days an IP is basically useless information.

Staff however should not be able to see this information as it is not needed for them to do their job.

An NDA shouldn't be needed. Aslong as it states in the privacy policy what you will/will not do, that should be fine.
