After reading the article and thinking about it, I think it's true and he did live to 256. Hmm..

If that's true, it's amazing. I don't want to live past 80 tbh lol.
Call me crazy, but I don't believe it.

I doubt it's true.
Nobody has lived past 125, let alone 256.
If people lived around 200, then it could possibly have some truth, but I highly doubt it.
Plus considering that the person in context lived quite a while back, people were more easily swyaed due to the lack of communications.

That's a load of baloney. It's the first I've heard of this.. if it were true don't you think it would have been publicised a little more?
And seriously... 256?

Fake as innit.

Hmmm, seems a bit vague... There doesn't seem like alot of evidence to prove it. It could be a number of men with the same name and the documents got muddled, or somehow there's a mis-translation and he was 56 or something. Would be interesting if it is true though :P
Inseriousity.

"Unfortunately, we may never know. You may draw your own logical conclusions."
My logic tells me 'No way!" and that more concrete evidence is needed to prove it.
I just looked at the date when I finished reading it to see if it said '1st April 2008'

Always a first ;)
Is this a joke? I have not had a look at that link yet but I was just wondering if this is serious because I have never heard of this 256 year old man!?
I think we would of known before now if some one had lived till 256. If its true, it will be on Channel 4 :P
Suprised he didn't commit suicide by the time he was 200 because I'm sure he would of been fed up of life.

Wow, I don't know if I would want to live that long.. But he must have had lots of stories to tell.

There are no birth records provided therefore, in my opinion, he wasn't 256.
Also no-one. That we know of, has lived past 125 so I don't believe it .. AT ALL

doubt it, it would have been on the news loads. & in that picture he's clearly only bout 80 or something, or else he wouldn't have been able to stand probably!! & they would have had loads of up-to-date pictures n fings.

Its impossible to live that long. Its not real.
its impossible today anyway. the natural life expectancy, as in without modern medicine etc, is in the early 30's, and people have lived four times as long as that. but this is out there. 256 is more than twice as much as anyone else ever recorded. and this article is really iffy.
And here he is now..

It will have been more than one person pretending to be the same.. all you'd have to do is wait for the old one to die then go travel someplace and say you're him; word may have spread about a great herbalist but they wouldn't have pictures or anything

LOL Someone needs to stop letting daddy tell bedtime stories while he is under the influence of alcohol. On topic I don't believe it's true.

Considering he probably lived off herbs and rice or w.e and had no stress in his life, who's to say it's not real?
You get hamster that live up to nine years old etc which translates to like 200 in human years.
