Did anyone watch Flood last night? Personally I thought it was really good, drowning is probably one of the things that freaks me out most. Some parts were a little unplausible (such as when they jumped off the Barrier and survived!) but overall I enjoyed the sense of panic everywhere. With global warming on a lot of people's minds, this was a good time for the program and probably gonna make a few more people do some recycling;). Anyway what did everyone else think of it?

What channel was it on? and was it a movie or documentary?

It's a movie, it is 3 hours but runs for 4 hours on TV because of ITV's stupid adverts. The second half of it is tonight at 9pm on channel 3.
An alright film. It took a while to get moving and the special effects are slightly dodgy.

I watched about an hour of it and turned it off. I thought it was absolutely dire. The acting was off, the special effects are low budget - although nothing you can't expect from a TV movie - the plot is recycled and the editing is trying too hard to be like 24 and CSI. It's way too ambitious and takes itself too seriously.

I hope you realise that the film was very far fetched.
I've seen it on dvd and watched it on ITV and tbh its a very strong storyline i actully cryed when the old man died at the end =[

it is full of characters stating the obvious or making OTT comments. I can suspend disbelief to some extent, but they should at least try to make it slightly realistic. Read the book when it first came out, which was poor. 5 years on they make a film which misses out half the plot and rubbish.

It was't made just for ITV, it is a proper film.

It is an absolutely terrible film. How they got David Suchet on board I don't know.
I thought it was great, one of the best films out.

It's possible.

The odds of it happening are incredibly low. The film is complete fiction and isn't meant to be real or legitimate in any way.

I don't want to get technical now, but it didn't make sense how the wave came from the east coast, as the fetch would be smaller (the length a wave has to build up). If it was to actually happen it would come from the west coast of the UK. Britain being where it is, the odds of a tidal wave/ natural disaster are extremely low.

LOL, Yeh Techically because the Fetch is bigger between America and England than France and England. Saying that, if the wave was from the SW, then it wouldn't be London that was flooded :)

The weather can change just like that, it does it all the time and even now not everyone can predict it, somethings just happen without notice.
I agree the chances of it happening are like 5% lol.

Okay, the film is complete fiction, so let's keep on-topic please, and discuss this absolutely horrific piece of trash.

At the end "...And if you're worried about flooding in your area, call our advice line..." it kinda made me lol xD

Lol, ITV were sly really. Trying to take credit for the film and advertising it in a way that made the public think they made it themselves.

The chances of it happening are more like 1 in a billion.

I still think it was awful.
One part of the script
"I wont leave you"
"Dont leave me"
"Im not leaving you"
"Dont leave me"
*Woman drowns before going under the water*
"NOOOOO"
I watched it and thought it was really good, especially all of the graphics it looked so realistic.
