Offspring have released their new single for free on their website.


The Offspring has announced a June 17 street date for its new Columbia effort “Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace” and the offering of a free download of first single “Hammerhead.”
“Hammerhead” became available yesterday (May 5) on the band’s official Web site, Offspring.com (http://www.offspring.com/). Users need to provide an email address to receive a link to a high-quality MP3 of the track, which comes free of digital rights management.

coldplay, radiohead, nine inch nails have all done it before, with radiohead and nin releasing whole albums for free
now i know its not really a new thing, but this is just offspring jumping on the bandwagon.
of course this might be the only way people hear this song, as no one will buy the album. they suck so much
