Welcome back to what is now the 2nd day of the new release pilot. Thanks a lot for all the feedback, and yes, we do listen to what you're saying! Now, don't get too excited because we are not bringing back the old console. We believe that after a couple of days of getting used to the new console and Instant Messenger, you won't want it back! However, we are making some tweaks to the new console feature as well as fixing the bugs noticed.
Today's update includes the following fixes: searching for a Habbo in web is now moved above the events listing (we will later add the user's motto, last online date and friend request possibility to the search results), Minimail sending from chat and friend list should now work and badge status changing doesn't cause an error anymore.
In the upcoming pilot versions we will be increasing the limit of how many friends you can send Minimail to in one go and although we still won't allow message sending to many users in IM (some might call it spamming!), we are making it possible to easily invite your friends to same room from friend list.
As said, thanks for the feedback, and your patience. Being a pilot country sometimes means some hick-ups, but hey, you get to try out the new features first and participate in perfecting them.

Would cause a lot of lagg and wouldn't work as you won't be able to send messages to somepeople on your list :)

Obviously the way they said 'we listen to your feedback' then ay' don't get to excited as we are not bring the old console back' means literally no one wants the new one ;l

The fact is not many people sned messages any more. There is no point in having friends on your console as you can only message 10 and last but not least THE UPDATE IS ****.

There not going to let all the money the spent developing the idea to go to waste. There not going to reverse the update, just because a couple hundred people out of the Hundreds of Thousands of users across the world don't like the update :)

But if that number grows they will try to make it 'better' because if people dont like it people will leave.. And i think this seems to be extreamly confusing for someone who wil have just started habbo.

Hmm, in somewhats yes, but at the same time, they won't have anything to compare it to so it wouldn't be any different to starting with the old console. Anyway, trust me on this, in a week or so, this will all die down and people will forget about it :)

I disagree. Out of 10000 people, we have only seen the views of around 10% of that (Via HxF or console).

for a start, theres been a numerous amount of riots, containing alot of people. secondly, yes habboxforum.. thirdly, in nearly every room you go into people are complaining about the update on the console. fourth, look in this forum http://www.habbo.co.uk/groups/POTR/discussions ... expecially in the "The latest pilot news" theres NO-ONE praising the new update, instead ranting about it.

i think that this console is a great update. new things have to come to habbo to make it more interesting. some people just dont like change. But i think that habbo have responded by putting the search bar on so u can search for habbos and also they are talking about so u can serach and view there join date, last online date and all that stuff. So i think they are trying to make it that bit better for the client. Every one should just enjoy the update.

Still only about 1000 out of the 10000 people on the hotel. Anyway, once they fix the problems, I am sure people won't mind it :)

well a good 1000 or so are newbies. they won't exactly like or hate it, and most of them won't come back to play again.

The update was brillant, just badly executed, i love the look of the new console and instant messenging is brilliant, ive always wanted that, but now just sending a message to some one or a group of people has become tedious, no more inviting people to ur room or saying wat fings ur selling, no1 botheres with mini since its on the homepage, i dont use the homepage unless thers new news or summit, so having it on the homepage reli pi**ed me off

Only good thing about the Mini mail is that, it blocks the spam out, since I don't use homepage. Only to change clothes. Other than that everything else is pretty good, except for the new screen size.

Yeah but the look of the console isnt much of a problem, its the actual changing of the console that I think was a bad idea. and then they say their not changing it back, at least not put a 10 people limit on minimail, but they dont even do that! They just say their gonna do it in another update

Well isnt it only UK so far that has it? And we're thepilot hotel because its most popular? Well I think they will listen to it, if people keep complaining they'll at least let you send stuff to more users or something.

It's simple maths... with more people viewing and staying longer on the homepage where the adverts are, the more money Sulake makes as a company - and at the end of the day that is what a company is, they may say they take our ideas on board but their main priority as for any company is to make as much money as possible.

Look at Tesco for example, they pay as little as possible for their mass food (which is the crap) and sell it on cheaper than supermarkets such as M&S which sell only organic foods (who think of their customers).

I disagree with that, they know that people being on the site isnt going to affect them clicking the sponsors much, people would see them quite often anyway, looking at news or something else.

But my friend agrees the only good things are: Messenger and new screen size.
The few annoying things would have to be the console and minimail.

You're exactly right. Sulake's a company and their profits come before a few user preferences. I can't see anyone quitting just because they miss the old console.

They ern about 0.1p per ad click lol. That hardly effects them. They get most of there money from people buying credits.
