New Computer

Hey, bought a new computer for my birthday and I have switched from Mac OS X 10.4 to Vista SP1. The specs on this computer are far better than the specs on my mac. Vista looks delicious but so does Mac OS X so no change there :D.

Anyway; Since my computer pretty much owns WoW now there are a few quests like getting mana cells wearing those glasses from ethereals which I couldn't do on my mac which I will be able to do on this computer, also (mainly to dan) I wasn't on yesterday, today and (POSSIBLY) not tomorrow because I am now downloading everything.

As you can see I'm not telling any porkies. Quad core at 2.2GHz per core, 4GB of Ram, 500GB Hardrive, Nvidia GeFore 8400 GS 256MB.

Yes I guess I am probably seeming to be a bit of a 'show-off' ***** here but I'm still excited you could say and also it might be a chance for people to show their computers off. I am guessing from what I have seen from WoW on this computer I get 50FPS+ What does everyone else get?

Gimme your new PC, i'm having to fork out for a new one myself as my fps keeps crashing on WoW, going to 1 or 2fps and that is NOT what I want in raids. I had to pull out of Hyjal tonight because of it and well, it suckss (and the pc i'm on atm is ****)

On my mac I had an integrated intel 64mb graphics card, now its 256 mb and it is not integrated (yay) and it looks good so I don't know why it only got 3.7 for aero, but 4.6 for gaming :P 5.9 (top rating afaik) for everything else. Yours?

But AMD is known to be cheapest, AMD is mostly purchased on budget builds.

Intel is alot better to overclock aswell making it even better than AMD :)

I did say intel was better, but an AMD dual core is more like two processors (The whole idea of dual core) than an intel dual core. How this is a benefit thouhg I have yet to find :P

It's an advent one from PC world, cost £650 a year ago. Does everything I want it to, so can't complain. God knows about my PC though, I haven't turned it on since I bought this laptop, I just use it to run the wireless broadband modem.

Oh yeah, it has vista home premium and the rating is 2.6.
4.8 for processor, 4.5 for memory, 2.6 for graphics, 3.1 for for gaming graphics and 4.5 for primary hard disk

Don't lag much in WoW, 'cept for major cities on weekends.

I really have to get a better processor lol, I bought a better graphics card not too long ago but my processor can barely handle it lmao. I still lag a bit in major cities (a lot in weekends) but not nearly as much as I used to. Getting frame rates of 50-70, sometimes even 80. 20-30 in major cities but with 1's every 10 seconds. :P

Haha, trap on Will, warrior gets traped, pet on you and BW + Intimidation, Will uses 'Heroic' which makes my aimed shot 2.2sec cast then i can crit up to 4.5k, then arcane crit and viper sting, blah, blah, blah. I Wth pwnd a drood in like a few seconds, Done what i said above and got a 3.9k crit then 1.1k crit and finnished him off. :]
Its really easy once you know how to do it, though it can drag on for a good 5mins and Will is Vgood at staying alive while keeping heal up on me and he as a few greens still, think how pwnage he would be with full epix? ;]
Oh and on Wednesday ill get S3 gloves so ill pwn even more bbe. ^_^

I've had upto 350 frames per second outside in Outlands.

The only problem is, Blizzard messed up how the GTX 8800 works with WoW recently, and that's dropped from 350 to 120ish outside, and 30-50 during raids.

Still waiting for them to fix it - Want to raid in more than just 30 FPS with the 2nd best GFX card on the market, please.
