You can't see it very well in that picture, but I think it suffices.

When I'm on a game, the graphics will sometimes decide to corrupt and there are polygons flying everywhere and colours flashing and all that jazz. From what I know I'm not doing anything to trigger it, it just happens at random, but when it does happen it doesn't stop until I restart the PC. It also affects all games, e.g. it'll happen when I'm running Halo, then I'll open Far Cry and the same thing will be happening.

My PC easily reaches the minimum specs of the games; I have 2 nVidia 7600GT cards running in sli. If anyone has any idea what's going on, throw it towards me!

Thanks in advance,
Alex

You tried updating the drivers, or rolling back drivers if you've just updated?

Yeah, I would try that. Also, just to eliminate the possibilities you may want to run a virus scan?

Post back whatever you try :)

Sounds like the cards may be overheating. Check the tempatures of the cards and post em here please.

Find your driver disk for your motherboard & or graphics card. re-install the drivers.

No, that is due to a) not enough power or b) overheating.

Give www.overclock.net (http://www.overclock.net) a visit.

Sorry I've kinda negated this thread for a while, keep getting caught up in exams :$

How would I go about finding the temp of the cards? CoreTemp is showing 32 degrees C but if I'm right that's only the processor temperature. I'm kinda a noob when it comes to technical stuff :P

EDIT: I updated all drivers before I posted :) Its sort of an automatic reaction, like checking the firewall when msn doesnt work :P

Another EDIT: wig, AVG scans every day is isn't throwing anything up :)

Use the nVidia nTune monitor:

Its showing 53 degrees for one and 50 degrees for the other, that doesn't sound good :P

Sounds a bit dodgy mate.
Wait for a more experienced member to reply but 50 od' degree's doesn't sound at all good.

50 Degrees is fine. Mine reaches high 80's

50C is fine for a graphics card they're designed to withstand a bit of heat.

*Breathes sigh of relief* :P

So, if it isn't overheating, is there likely to be another problem? Well, obviously there is another problem, but do you have any suggestions? :P

+rep to all that have helped thus far btw, its appreciated :)

It must be a driver problem.

Those temperatures you quoted were while running the game right, not idle?

Mmm good point, might be an idea to measure it while running the game. I'll get back to you
