She comes back because of her second heart, if she regenerated, she would of changed faces :P

Looks like there could be a spin off, or the writers are planning on bringing her back. But sadly, the writers like to make the Doctor Suffer, so she may die in another episode?

It's confusing about the TARDIS. I was looking for information about it and found this on The Impossible Planet episode page on Wikipedia
