How does the feedback forum work? ie

Does a certain member of the habbox management look at every thread?
How are ideas thought about/evaluated..?
Why doesn't somebody reply to each thread..?

This is just to clarify for me and for other habbox users who have been using the feedback forum...

EDIT: this is mainly to do with how management use it, not how members or other members of staff use it...

Most of management will check the threads in here - If not all. Ranging from AFM, to AGM. If something nice, important or an idea comes up discussion will often take place in the Forum Admin's section, where we discuss pro's/con's. That's often the period of time where most think nothing is being done, and you're being ignored.

As for the replying to each thread - It's mostly not needed. If you were guarenteed a reply from any member of Forum, or Site management, then this place would be used instead of a PM. You will find, however, that if someone comes up that warrents a reply (such as this) one will be given.

Hope that answers.

Thank you very much,

Also my small bit of feedback is... It might be helpful to add this information to one of the stickies in the section, as people are often confused by how the system works... :)

Thanks again,

That's not a bad idea perhaps add it on to the thread already stuck "Regarding the Feedback forum". I always had some sort of idea of what goes on when feedback is posted but it's nice to have a full answer from someone who does part of the decision making ;).

Technically feedback is giving a suggestion and hoping for a response or action to be taken depending on the sitatuation, like if a member is banned and the ban reason is discussable e.g. speaking in a foreign language, then an answer is key. If it's something like "Well done on this!" then no response is necessary. I guess it depends on negative or positive feedback. Negative requires a response, positive doesn't. If it's just for suggestions with no feedback, then it should be called the Suggestions Forum ;)

Which why people expect a response, and one which actually means something. Or up-to-date information within the management team of the idea put forward by members. There have been many times where a suggestion is put forward and you don't really hear about it until someone starts flaming.

So why have a feedback forum? If you are discussing the pros and cons then a poilite post from somebody to say that's what they are doing would go a long way to improve public relations on this forum. Nvrspk4 is probably the best at this and I have to say sending a pm to some people guarantees nothing at all. People only flame and get frustrated when they are being ignored and some of the staff appear to have an elitest attitude.

For what's it worth an acknowledgement would satisfy those that post in feedback threads. At least let members know what the possibilities of an idea's chances are.

Could be something as simple as, this idea will be raised at the next Management Meeting or whatever. Or an explanation as to why something wouldn't work. Possibly a statement, this idea isn't suitable and until a period of time has elapsed the idea can't be considered.

Members wouldn't feel ignored, it's called good communication skills ;)

ps. The Members Debate forum, looks to me like it's been a great success, I don't witness many posts edited by staff and members seem to get along very well in the threads. So a thank you for listening to members needs, and staff agreeing for this sub-forum to be allowed :)
