You ever tried this bloody layout on it? Anyone know how to make it at least easy to work in?
For example I'm just testing the movie (ctrl enter) and I go to click something and it goes behind the actionscript section - pathetic.e
If anyone knows how to make the layout go back to an older version - Post below.

Download Flash 8 <3 Adobe over killed flash, Macromedia 8 Series was and still is the best (in my view).

Mmm. Adobe Flash CS3 kind of sucks, it's really picky, down to silly things, have something 500 x 500 in a 500 x 500 canvas, change the canvas to 300 x 300 and it says in the same place it doesn't even re upper-left-corner itself. It has some silly flaws. Use flash 8...if you still can't.. give me some more details so I can help you.

As times change so does software. If you ever expect a job in web development in the future then you have to learn to use latest releases of software. Unless of course you go self employed then the software you use is entirely up to you.
I'd suggest sticking at it for a bit, as after maybe a day or two of using it you'll soon start to see that it's been developed in such as way to make it easier overall.

The actionscript window is a *****, when you switch tabs the cursor never goes back, and the focus goes back to the stage leaving the AS window open.
I love AS3, but Flash CS3 is stupid. I learned to deal with it though.

well I have the actionscript window open full, I hardly use the stage - when testing movies it stays infront of the ******* movie takes the piss. The test movie should be external to the program =/

I'm doing that already, in flash 8 it would place separate tab on the start bar. With CS3 it places it inside the actual application.

Not the publish preview.. it makes a new window for me.
