I would be amazed if this is real simply because:

£50 just to give feedback?!

I would of thought habbo could see the feedback for the new version - Isn't that the point in the 'Pilot of the Revolution' Group?

Hi Habbo,

You have been chosen as a potential candidate to participate in a fun
research event for Habbo UK. During the event you will be using and
testing some cool new Habbo features and you will even receive £50 and a
Habbo goodie bag for taking part!

The event is organised and run by Sense Worldwide who will contact you
to arrange all the details of the research event. Milly from Sense
Worldwide will send a set of background questions to you shortly. If you
would like to take part in the event and get your hands on the £50 + a
Habbo goodie bag, then please reply to Milly by answering her set of
questions!

All the best,

I received both emails ;)

We are working on a project with Habbo UK and the guys at Habbo Research HQ have told us that you may be interested in helping us. We are looking for 6 teenagers (13-16) who live in London to take part in a 3 hour workshop at our studio. During the 3 hours we will ask you to test some of Habbo's brand new features and we'll discuss what you think. These sessions will then be communicated to the guys at Habbo, through wall posters and a short film.

The workshop will be help on Monday 19th May at our studio in London, (see our address below)

We, of course, are more than happy for a parent, guardian or older sibling to join us and please just give me a call if you want to find out more about what the project entails.

What's in it for me?
If you are selected to take part, you'll receive £50 plus a Habbo Goody Bag for your participation and this also covers your travel costs. We'll also be having pizza!

What do we want you to do?
Please answer all of the questions below with as much detail as possible. We have a really tight deadline for this particular workshop so I would really appreciate you getting back to me as quickly as possible. These questions will help us decide if you are right for the workshop and I'll then email to let you know if you have been chosen.

No idea about an older group, I guess my age wasn't a problem, I'm only a few years older than their requirements. I suppose the majority of Habbos are aged around 13-16, so they probably chose verified members at random. So those that haven't verified should do so now ;)

13-16 is the demographic I believe, and it's near enough a 50/50 gender split last time I heard. I think it was people who did the long survey by the Sulake Insight Team (the one that took like 20 minutes) who got picked?

You should be a detective, you could be right, I was sitting here thinking have I taken part in any surveys. Answer, probably one or two only, and I definitely did the 20 minute or so one, purely because many commented on it taking too long, that I wanted to see for myself.

Enjoy your day there :)

Yeah, they pay your fare and then give you £50. Seems like everytime someone texts for credits, it ends up going to some other kids on the other side of the country.

That's a lie

The session was very good - there was two Habbo players (myself and Danielle), and four people who had either only logged on a few times, or never played before.

We first had a chat and discussion about how we communicate with others real/Habbo, and then did a big brainstorming thing on how we communicate. Then we had pizza (lol). Then we had an hour (roughly) on Habbo UK testing four "new features": MiniMail, Chat, Habbo Widescreen and Dock & Friends List. We was told that Sulake wanted more "specific" answers and feedback, and that a real life session was a good way to do it.

We then had another chat about what we didn't like, and what we did like, and what features are really needed. We then had more pizza. Then we got paid. Then we went home.

Sad to go to a gaming office?

i. Didn't go to a gaming office, went to a research company office.
ii. Got paid £50 plus travel costs.
iii. Got free pizza and goodies.

I would ;) And if it isn't a new feature, then it must have always been there, but I definently saw it.

What so both of you would go to a gaming centre or something related to a PC game for under 50 quid or for free.

It would be sad though.

why have so many people been asked? the email i read last week said only 6 habbos where going? you'd think they check the D.O.B of habbos they ask lol :P

Well, The age group they are looking for is 13 - 16 they dont need to check the D.O.B before they send the e-mails out to the selected habbos because they will asume that everyone on habbo is 13+ because the Habbo minimum age limit is 13!

We also were filmed whilst using habbo & our screens were filmed by some program on the Mac's.
They also filmed us for the people in the office to see us talking about feedback on the new features, what we liked/disliked, Me & Ollie ended up having a rant about all the bad things about habbo & ideas.

"ITS ****, o soz I mean bobba!!"
bare jokes.

we also also got £70 insted of £50 :)

Subject: Thank You Danielle!

Hi!

I just wanted to say thanks for all your help on Monday. We had a great time and I hope you did too. We've been working overtime this week to turn all your great comments and suggestions into a Poster that will be pinned up on the Habbo Development Team walls and help them make the tools we tested better. The poster is flying out to Finland as we speak!

Once again, a massive thank you and it was nice to meet you.

All the best

Milly, Jess, Tom, Laura & Steve
