Homepage thing

Hey, I've been wanting to do this for some time and now I've got round to it.

It's a page that has logos of popular sites, when clicked takes you to the site.

Why did I make this? I didn't have a homepage (just had default Mozilla search) and I wanted to access certain sites quickly (lazy lol), so I came up with this, then thought others might like it. I'll be adding some more soon.

Use it as your homepage if you think it'll be useful for you. If you can think of anymore popular sites you use then please tell me and I might add it if it's what many people use.

It's not meant to be fun. :( I'll code it in divs and css eventually, so it loads quicker.

I think it's a great idea, maybe you should add a drop down so people can select categories like Habbo and so on. :D

Might do that, but it's main purpose is to be simple and there so you can get to a site in one click.

Looks great, well done. I'm pretty sure I've had an idea like this before but I wanted to give the user some category options, so if they wanted social network, they click the link and the image of the social network come up, maybe try that.

You have your main area and you can "drag" the logos of the sites you want in to. And it stores this info as a cookie.

=)To expand on this rather good idea. Maybe had a box that says "Drag your logo in here to launch the site" or whatever, when they drag the specific logo into the box it launches their chosen website in another window, would be simple to code.

It was suggested make a user system... I used to code in PHP, not done so for a while but I'm sure I'll all come flooding back to me. :P It was also suggested (like you guys are suggesting) that I use scriptaculous for the logos, so people can choose, then it saves the position in the database under their name. The actual usersystem will just be login and change logo positions. After that it might get developed more.

However, with this idea that has been suggested above I will add logos for many other sites and then people can customize what they see.

Nice one Tom, could come in handy I guess if I don't wanna browse through bookmarks when I could just hit my tool bar to open TheUGE then just click my mouse to go on a website.
