Very smiliar, we must live in a pretty good area for the ISP. Also mine was done while watch an HD Movie online and was using my MB instead of iMac.

It's UPTO 8mb you wont definatly get the whole 8mb, very few people do especially since the MAX you can get from BT is 7.15mb anyway due to their rate adaptive system. To get the full 7.15mb it depends on line length and other factors such as poor wiring etc.

im broadband... but not in a village, main.

I download things at about 30kb's, so it takes around 30mins to download shockwave
