Hey!

I think habbox should get stricter on spammers and advertisers. Perhaps there should be a thread when you sign up which is one of the wrongs that ou have to read.

In the last few days i have seen numerous members on there first few posts doing this:

ANDRE'S RETRO - IT IS AMAZING!!!!!!!
SELLING NOKIA N95 PHONE CHEAP.
BUYING THRONES - I OFFER £10 EACH!

----

Anyway I think if you did make it so people had to go to the thread they would then have NO excuse about breaking rules. And TBH I think it is pretty obvious that you can't post GO ON MY RETRO, in a discussion, habbo, technology and trading section. I mean why would we have sections and sub-forums if we wants them all jumbled together.

Thanks,

Dom

Just ban them immediately, if they only joined to advertise crap then get rid of them. It's one of the only times banning a member straight away is ok "/

As always if you see any advertisements like those you described just report them and they will be dealt with :).

This is more of a problem in the mornings. Mods are pretty good at getting rid of the spam/advertisment bots but obviously there has to be one on to deal with them. If I see one and no mod but an admin is on I pm them as the bots can get a hold and post many threads in a very short time.

The threads were removed. BUT if the member doesn't even get a auto caution they will do it again!

That is very true.

Two examples of advertising accounts recently banned. They are dealt with.

Obvious bots are banned straight off, it's easy to tell by going to the "find all posts" button and seeing how similar the posts are. If its a new member who doesn't know that you can't post retros, they're usually given a polite nudge, and if they ignore it they're dealt with appropriately. All spammers are banned instantly providing an smod/admin is online and is aware of the problem.
