Ok, well i want a new laptop, and it has to be capable of video viewing, photo editing.. ect ect but it needs to be able to multi task well..

Anyway.. the main thing i wanted to know is.. can i have normal MSN, so that i can still talk to my old contacts, and how well would it be "future-proof"

i know how good macs are i just need a little advice.. seeing as they are quite expensive.. :l

And how effective (price wise) is the student discount?

Just upgrade the RAM in the laptop you already have to play games...

Bootcamp will be fine. I have a mate who runs that on bootcamp. He has 2gb ram and thats fine. MBP would be more if you wanted HD video editing or extreme multitrack recording.

My advice is macbook

Hate to break it to you but i dont think you will even be able to play them on a macbook pro with good FPS. I aint 100% sure you will have to ask nice but i am pretty sure that they wont

Is there any particular reason you want a Mac? Gaming is one of the worst areas on Macs, both in terms of the hardware inside them and the lack of games for the operating system. I would recommend a custom built windows pc.
