Personally I can't see much difference accept for the fact loads of C++ runtime errors and it's standalone.

They hardly change anything. Its all about making money from people wanting to be up to date :(

I think the biggest change is perhaps they are going to include a 64-bit version.

Wonder why it doesn't have the new photoshop logo?
Seems like it's just a modded version of cs3 with a new loading screen?

I still have Photoshop CS2 since CS3 and CS4 are almost the same as CS2

I WORKED IT OUT!
this version is alot superior now I have had time to play with it, the GPU now does most of the image rendering meaning it's alot quicker |: and jeez it is.

Yeh, I saw this on digg. The main update now for CS4 is that it uses your GPU and any Physics card such as a Phys X card to assist the program and do the rendering. Should provide an enormous speed increase.

I think i'll stick to cs3. Can't be bothered to update when I don't actually need the new features.

CS4 is the 64-bit version of CS3, there's no point getting it unless you need it on your 64-bit Vista/XP.

No not really as at the moment your graphics card isn't being used at all to render images in photoshop so whatever graphics card you have, you WILL see a speed increase.
