Well I broke my laptop charger last night, the end of it just snapped off because it got bent that many times... I've just ordered a new one and it will take 7-14 working days to get here. However I need my laptop like now... It has all the programs I need (Photoshop, Fireworks, Limewire, BitLord etc) and files which I need which my mums laptop obv doesn't have...

So do you think the charger would work for a temp job if I soldered it together and put some duck tape round it until my new charger gets here? And if it does work how long will I need to wait to see if it works because it's drained out all of the power so will it stay off for like... 30-60 mins while gaining enough power to switch on?

yes it would because right now my charger has ducktape around it and was soldered

i got my dad to do it, and its been working fine so far for about 3 months, as long as everything connects why not

Ye it'll work as long as you do it right. Don't electrocute yourself though xP

If it's the same voltage then it should work but be careful if you decide to try it, and don't do it if it's not the same.

Mine breaks all time lol, I haven't had it fixed yet cos I've got ma exams so it works out good but when I do I just take it to some shop down road and they put a new adapter on end of it which fits in perfectly and it costs like £1.50 lol.
