here is my rant

internet suddenly stopped working so we thought it was the router. testing modem at another active broadband line, weverything was working fine. so we called this premium rate 0800 number for orange whiched charged around 1.50 a minute, god knows. talked to a machine for around half hour then got finally put thru to some indian woman who was obviously reading from a script and didnt know anything. so she told us to try a new micro filter. we went away did that and we rang back. however this time we were put rhu to somebody in london. so they went through this script again costing us time and money, they dont even keep a call log so you have to start again each time! they said they were going to do a line test so told us to hang up and dont use the fone for around 8 hours. 1 day passed and nothing chnged. rang bt to say status on line check and they said no account of a line check every happening because they dont do checks on weekends and bank holidays, so orange lied to us. told us we cant use the phone so we cant ring back and complain... cleve. waiting for test tomorrow if nothing by wednesday just gonna ring up and ask straight for MAC code and switch to bt.

so dont switch to orange. everything seems fine wjen you get it but when something goes wrong it a differ story

Well, you will have to wait 5 days for a MAC code they cant give it right away as they need to request it from BT (So said AOL)

Adam is correct, 0800 is a freephone number haha. 0870 or similar tends to be a premium number.

But yeah, Orange are rubbish, this goes for both mobiles and their internet services, the customer support is absolute tosh.
Get the MAC asap :P

0800 is free phone, 0870 or 0871 is national rate and 090 is what television programs use to charge you £1.50 or more to vote for something.
