Hi there,
Does anyone know what a port map is for? I am trying to unblock a port in my router but it also asks for the start and end port map.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance :).

The range of ports you wish to unblock (for example start=8000 end=9000 then the ports from 8000 to 9000 would be unblocked). Port mapping is just another term for port forwarding.

If you were trying open just one port, put that number in both those boxes. If there is a 'translate to' box, put the same port number in there as well.

Thanks a lot to you both :).
Yeah, the start port is the port you want opening and the end port is the one you want it forwarding to which will usually be thre same thing.
