Turned my Xbox on this morning and the 3 Flashing Red Lights came on :(
I took it downstairs see if it was working down there incase it was just a faulty with my stuff but still woudn't work :(
I got it from Tescoo so I looked for the receipt as they replace it if its within the year, looked at the date 13/05/07. -.- Was not impressed, so I gotta send it to microsoft now! Grrh, so no xbox for agesss :(
My second Xbox 360 which has played up now, hating it... :@

you sure all the wires are in properly? try disconnecting the hard drive and restarting it to see if its that or something.

What colour is the light on the power supply?

Hmm have done! The nearest I got was onto the dashboard.
When I got there I tried putting in a game and it woudn't load at all. Took the game out, turned the Xbox off and back on and the lights came up flashing again.
Kinda disapointing that it can't even last over a year, I only played it for like an hour at a time.
Im not to impressed with the microsoft service either because I rang them up once about a faulty product and they promised that 1 of there "Administators" would contact me back in 72 hours and never got a reply.

What colour is the light on the power supply?
Yellow when its off, Green when its on.
I've got a spare power supply so I tried swapping it over seeing if it was the power supply faulty but still the same error.
I think the heat has melted the motherboard on it as thats what happened last time, although I am using an intercooler aswell I don't see why it should :/

Happens on most of the Arcade XBoxes.
Send it to repair, then they give you a free month of LIVE, and it be done by 1-2 weeks.
Thats what happened to my mate.

You're using an intercooler?
One you attach on the back?
Yeah you're screwed mate, you have just voided your warranty :)

I think if you look carefully you can see scratches where it is.

I just checked coudn't see anything as it just attached inbetween the fan gaps at the back.
I only thought you lost the warranty when the Microsoft sticker was destroyed inside the console. (To get into the console you have to cut a sticker which is the warranty I thought)

most of the fans actually do more damage than good.

mmm how? Its just another fan powered by the xbox power supply.

i dont know exactly why it happens, it just does something that makes it more likely to break, if you want to use a fan with it just get a normal fan that doesnt use the xbox's power and direct that at it.

I'm certain an intercooler voids your warranty.
