You know the old saying “a change is as good as a holiday”, well in Habbo it’s no different! Very, very soon all the following goodies will be coming to a hotel near you. A lot of people question the reasons for our updates so here are some of the answers and what to expect.
Going Widescreen
Over the years computer screens have increased in size so we’re widening Habbo to suit. When you login after our update you’ll notice the popup will be much bigger - the public rooms will look even better, plus it will add more screen space for our shiny new features.
Instant Messaging
No longer will it be a pain in the butt to hold multiple conversations with your friends because soon you’ll have an instant messaging tool. All those extra fiddly clicks will be out the window.
Manage Friends List
Your friends list will also transform and now you’ll be able to sort your besties into 5 different categories in your account settings. Not only will it be more user friendly, it’ll look better too ( which is what counts ;) )!
My Messages
This will allow you to communicate with your friends who are offline and will essentially be like the Console but on your personal page (so you instantly see new messages as soon as you login).
Lack of message history in your Console has always sucked, but not for much longer! My Messages will not only store the messages you've received but also the one's you've sent.
Invitations
You will soon be able to contact large numbers of friends when inside the hotel by sending a mass invitation. The invitation will appear in the Instant Messenger as a different coloured tab and can contain any text you like, plus a 'follow me' link’.
So there you have it guys! Not long now and you’ll have all these tools at your fingertips - this article is to help you prepare for what’s coming. It’s going to be a big change, but like any change hopefully you’ll get used to it and end up loving it. Besides, how boring would the world be if everything stayed the same. :)
