I dunno if anyone knows the answer or anything but... when you enter the Soul Society, it is said that you "don't age". And most of the people there haven't.... but how come Rukia and Renji age? In episode 32 it shows them when they were little and it shows them growing up, but most other people in the soul society don't age.

I've made a theory but I don't know if it's correct: maybe only people with spirit energy age?

Probably, as they get hungry and other spirits don't.

They probably didnt discover their reiatsu until they were older.
