Did it yesterday and was probably my easiest exam. Sat two exams:
1) Alternative J (Unit 1) which is 'The Origins of Totalitarian and Authoritarian Regimes c1848-1956
2) Alternative Q (Unit 2) which is 'Britain 1814-1914'
Did Unit 3 earlier in the year, which one two course essays on each Alternative, which was basically coursework, but we had to do it under exam conditions but we had 5 hours lesson time to plan it.

We didn't learn Mussolini, so we didn't get a choise on what sources to use.

i meant sources as in 'how is this useful to blahblahblah'
'how do 1 and 2 differ'
'use your own knowledge and source 3 blahblahblah'
and an essay
we dotn get a choice, sources is the germany paper

Ahh, ours is different. On both papers we had to do a compulsary question on Sources, however one source was on Stalin, one on Hitler and one on Mussolini. You have to use the Stalin one, then you had to compare it with either the Hitler one or the Mussolini one. Then you had a choise out of 3 questions which were about Stalin, Hitler and Mussolini.

Lenin is easy anyway. Basically Russia was in loads of crap due to WW1, so Lenin comes in, offers 'Peace, Bread and Land' and everyone loves him. :P
