Right I've got rather poor-graphics on my computer atm, they're not particularly great and Vista rates my graphics 2.8/5

I was planning on doing a little bit of computer gaming, nothing too serious or high-end. I've got a 7300 GS right now and I planning on getting another (only about £20-£30) and then use NVIDIA'S SLI so I run off both graphics cards. They both use PCI Express and I was wondering if my motherboard supports two PCI Express cards and SLI technology.

Motherboard: MSI K9N6GM
Slots:
1 PCI Express x16 slot
1 PCI Express x16 slot but only provides x8 bandwidth
1 PCI Express x1 slot
2 PCI slots (support 3.3V/5V PCI bus Interface)

You would not get a noticeable improvement even if the cards support SLI.

I swear its been proven that SLi actually decreases performance in a lot of games...?

Only on the GX2's. In Crysis when people have quad SLI enabled the average FPS actually went down for some. It all depends upon what drivers you are using though.

It would be better to buy a decent card if you're interested in PC gaming - 7300gs is terrible. I'd go for an 8800GT at least.
