Why they can't do account cleanup.

Ever wondered why the hotel hasn't done the account cleanup like they had done a while ago? Well its down to one thing. Christmas 2006. Why? Because every account had recieved five credits.

Only them that were online in december or something. Then since then they've given more out for new pilot releases, but thats recently so those accounts wouldn't really get deleted anyway.

I'm sure they're more busy doing things to keep the community interested rather than letting people have old names.

But they never know if they're going to go back on.
Unless they delete accounts which they gave credits to and keep the ones which bought credits on their own.

It actually says in the T&Cs if accounts are not used for 6 months they will be deleted, but it never happens.

Tbh, it would be nice, but I don't think they will. Why? Because if they delete all old names, Habbo will have less members therefore appearing less popular to businesses who wish to advertise and such.

Wait a moment they only did that link when habbo web 2.0 came out (january), so it says 6 months, and it has been six months now because its june which may be the account cleaning..

That's actually why Sulake probably wouldn't purge accounts like "duck "throne" "bill" and so on. Perhaps the original owner may want to come back to Habbo later.

They state that so when a user accuses Sulake of purging their account, after they've paid for credits, Sulake can tell them they've agreed to their TOS upon registering, and that they have a right to do whatever they want to said account.

If Christmas 2006 was in the way, it would be so easy to write a script to disregard the 2006 free credits, so this issue is irrelevant, if all the accounts had really been awarded with 5 credits.

Honestly I agree with you..only I'd rephrase it :P. It would just be another annoyance to have users bragging about how "original" their names are.
