Ronaldo has finally broken his silence, about whats going on with him and his futrue!
Cristiano Ronaldo has broken his silence over his future by declaring a desire to move to Real Madrid.
The transfer story of the summer gathers pace by the day but prior to speaking to Brazilian website Terra, little of note had been offered by the Manchester United winger.
Sir Alex Ferguson and United's owners, the Glazer family, are united in their stance that Ronaldo will not be allowed to quit Old Trafford but their resolve to keep him will now be further tested by the player's latest declaration.
Speaking from Portugal's training base in the Swiss city of Neuchatel, Ronaldo admitted, according to Terra, that a move to the Spanish capital appealed.
"I want to play for Real Madrid, but only if it is true they are eager to pay me and Manchester United what they have been saying they will," said Ronaldo.

"However, it does not depend on me. It is important to send a message.
"From now on I will not talk again about this until the end of the Euros. It is not worth asking me because I will not reply."
On Wednesday, Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon said he would not risk ruining his club's relationship with Manchester United by bidding for a player under contract.
However, now Ronaldo has signalled his intent for a future in Spain, it could be Madrid that make the next move.

Now that is music to my ears. I love it when a player who says they're dedicated to a club decide to move out. It happened to Everton with Rooney and now it's happening with Man Utd with Ronaldo. I just love the coincidence theyre in the same team too.
I hope he moves for the sheer fact that Ronaldo won't enjoy football in Man Utd as much as he will do in Spain. You can't force someone to stay if they want to go, you gotta respect the players wishes and I think Fergie (being an amazing manager) will understand that.

Yes bt it sadly isnt up to Fergy. Its up to the owners and they are american and dont care what they ruin and sadly i think they will keep him and bench him, which would ruin his career.

The manager doesn't get a say about his players?! I find that madness, really I do. They wouldn't bench him unless he shown that he didn't want to play at all but I don't think he'd lower himself to that level either. He'd just get on with it and try and enjoy it but the quality you see right now in games, that won't last long.

I'd rather see him rot in the stands, myself.

Calderon's simple mind-games worked wonders, only took 18 hours! Jesus, Cristiano, you are foolish.
Anyway, looks like I've won a fiver!

I don't think they are. You can't fake quote in a newspaper, it's illegal. They could be taken out of context, but it's pretty direct what he has said.

The Sun are main culprits. They will say anything for a story. I never believe them.

I could be wrong but I thought he was impersonating Ronaldo there. I dunno why you'd want to. I agree with Jake tbh... let him rot. He acts smug all the time!!

Indeed. He's a cheating ******* and I hate him. If he goes off to Real and Drogba goes off to Inter, the only cheat left is Gerrard.

Because he is the best football player in the world...
The lack of loyalty in football these days is worrying, especially with new rules where players can buy out their contracts with something like 2 years left on them. :/
I don't understand the big attraction to Real anyway, I rate United above Real Madrid. Didn't understand Flamini moving to Milan, when Milan wont be in the Champions League next season and we knocked them out in this years competition after dominating them over both legs.

Doubt it's true, all rumours, its a brazilian newspaper and the key word is 'reportedly'...

I think its a bit obvious Ronaldo wants to just say 'im goin' the way that he is carrying it on
if he wants to go really bad i hope the glaziers make him rot in the stands until his contract runs out in 2012 lols. i rate united over real and find it strange that ronaldo has fallen for the madrid mind tricks so soon :S.
