if other older genres are coming back i reckon she has a chance at being HUGE, especially with the freemasons remix which is amazing.. (http://youtube.com/watch?v=jq-aK7jts9Y)
if you recognise her it's probably because she's beyonce's sister and was in bring it on 2.

I wouldn't call her the next Duffy or Amy Winehouse, and no I'm not saying she will be the next Aretha but she does slightly sound like early Aretha Franklin. Hopefully Solange outshines Beyonce.

Yeah you could say that too but I can definitely hear a slight resemblance between her and Aretha.

i've heard her singing on an old destinys child album before and omg, how she's changed. she sounds so different that it sounds like she's putting that voice on ;o but whatever it sounds good.
it was only a matter of time tho that beyonces sister would try and follow her sisters footsteps...

hardly following beyonce when she's taking a whole new approach to music, doing more old school r&b and jazz influences
their whole family is musical

yeah i suppose so, she does seem a bit different but people are going to assume she is getting famous from her sister and like she doesn't really have to earn it like everyone else.

true i guess, but the fact she isn't sticking to her dad's label is what i find quite good.
she could have easily just gotten success due to it running in her family, but the fact that geffen signed her shows that independently she's a good artist

Jessica and Ashley cannot be compared with Beyonce and Solange.

I wouldn't say so, she can use that to her credit. She had a kid when she was about 16 and still continued with all of the necessary efforts and requirements to become a solo artist. She's written & co-written lots of songs for Destiny's Child, Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Michelle along with her own so it's safe to say that she has everything she needs, down.

i thought she was good in bring it on: all or nothing.. that must have been after her baby then.
i do like her singing and hope she makes it big with her singing her own songs.
