Hi all
Well, I'm 14, straight, and I think that teenage relationships are a load of crap. I wont go into a relationship because I think its crap and it only ends in tears and someone gets hurt, always! I haven't been in a relationship that lasted more than a week really. I just think they're pointless and probably people who do do it are trying to look older/harder or something like that.
Anyway, am I weird or not normal?

LOL right....... i think you're just looking at it wrong. You don't go INTO relationship, you fall for someone. You're only 14 you probably haven't found someone you really like yet to want a relationship with.
and yeah you're most likely to get hurt but with good comes bad and you learn a lot for the next time round. Also you gotta keep in mind that every new relationship that person could be 'the one' so don't write off anything just yet!
LAST POINT doesn't matter how old you are, mega jealousy when you're teenage which is a big reason why it never works but it can still work. You need to be more optimistic instead of pessimistic about it all!!!!!!!!!!!!

well you are a bit young. at 14, yes, a lot of people go into relationships not really knowing what it means or what to do. but by 15 or 16, relationships mean something. when you're a teenager you're supposed to date, cause that's when you're finding out who you are. dating for a week isnt bad, as long as you learned something from it. you're supposed to navigate through your relationships and learn what you do and do not like in someone, it makes it easier for you to find a match in the future.
as for all relationships ending with someone getting hurt, it's better to love and lost than to never love at all.
There's nothing weird about your views. As H said, you don't go into a relationship for the sake of it, you find somebody you really like and then get into a relationship with them.

Im the same, it doesnt really bother me, i've never been "out" with someone and i dont really care if i do atm.. friends have said i would do well in a relationship, but its normal.. remember - some people havent had a girlfriend/boyfriend until they are 20 or even older
So, no its perfectly fine

Yeah I kinda agree with you (had previous ones lasting like 3 months >_>). atm I just cba with them cuz you've gotta like see them and its awkward when a silence occurs.

I used to think this was as well until I started drinking and going out more :eusa_whis
When you grow up you might change your mind. Everybody's different so there's nothing at all to worry about mate. :)
i dont bother either, girls my age, well in my class seem just a bit immature anyway to bother.

Wait until you find someone, then you're opinion will change.
But it's not weird, it might just be the fact that you're young.

My mates mum and dad are in their 40s now and they started going out when they were 14 (y)
In my opinion, i think you should date when your younger because it prepares you for the future. Saying that, i think its better to be single because you can get off/cop off with whoever you want on a drunken night out etc.
Its not wierd, many people share your view.
But you probably haven't found someone you like yet
and I know what you mean by some teenage couples only together for the sake of it. When you find someone you really like, you'll probably change your mind.

Firstly, good for you for not in a sence 'using' girls just for the sake of having a girlfriend ! :P
Teenage years are for exploring relationships and careers etc.
But don't feel you need to rush into things.
You decide when you want to have a relationship.
Save it for the special one ;)

HEY, I wasn't saying you COULDN'T find someone, I was in love at 14. I was just saying he shouldn't expect to have found someone yet as he is still young he has his whole life to find someone. I know plenty of teenage sweethearts! My god parents got together when they were 14 & 16 they're still together happily married.
'get off/cop off with whoever you want on a drunken night out' LOL what a brilliant example you're setting there!!!!! ITS ILLEGAL FOR 14 YEAR OLDS TO DRINK!! let alone what else you were implying hahaha

better to have loved and lost, then to never have loved at all.
