I was wandering if there was anyone who wanted to start a new forum? Ive got years of experience and running forums but im looking for partners who want to join up and open a new forum together.

Im looking for people who want to open a NON-Habbo related forum.

Message me or reply to this if interested.

How do you know if it's going to be successful if you haven't started yet?

Nevertheless, all the best of luck.

This depends on what forum you use, if you use IP.Board I might aswell lend a hand, if not then I'll pass.

The genre for the forum is going to be a music discussion forum. I plan to use VBulletin for the forum. Still looking for partners who want to join this project, you must have past experience and a good knowledge of VB.

If you want to make a successful forum, choose your affilates from forums which are already established, offer the affilates money for their advertising & provide a unique service which sets you apart from the rest.

Otherwise, you're another forum in the abyss called the Internet.

Yeah its gonna be alot of hard work needed to make it a success but I think that most sites can be successful with alot of hard work and dedication.

Define successful. What you just said is that you'll be able to maintain the forum with dedication & yeah thats true, but how the hell are you going to get people to sign up etc.?

This is what I'm getting on about... -.-

Ow right, well I plan to market the site more to the unsigned bands/artists and true music fans of the UK as by doing some research there isnt many sites which mainly focus on this out there at the moment and some of the ones which are out there are owned by fat cats who are just in it for the money they can get out of it and so having a site which is run by music fans for music fans is a winning combination. I plan to get people to the site through online promotion by running competitions to win band merchandise and then I also plan to setup a street team where people get free access to gigs throughout the UK in return for handing out flyers, badges etc. :)
