heyy
i need to find a personal study book that has stuff on characterisation/plot setting/structure or anything like that..

has anyone read any books that would be easy to write an essay on?

It would help to know how old you are?! but the books i've wrote essays/orals on are:

handmaids tale, woman at point zero, metamorphosis, the outsider

they're classic english language books to read and study first two are the most interesting. though I have no idea if it's for GCSE/A level or WHAT.

I'm guessing they are either doing Intermediate 1 or 2 or Higher English? :P

I suggest a book which you can enjoy, possible go for a classic book like Charles Dickens or something :)

My best suggestion is go and talk to your school librarian as they will be able to suggest some books. (Mine did ;))

Good luck with your personal study and don't get too bored writing the essays :P

The Great Gatsby is an absolutely fantastic novel to study, with a hell of a lot of detailed analysis possible.
