This isn't a news site you know, this is a forum where you post your opinion on things not links to things.

Finally a country has had a referendum, this looks like it could in affect destroy the whole treaty, all it takes is one country? I'd rather it was our country as I'd just like to disrupt the EU as much as possible, the vast majority of the EU doesn't do us any favours.

On the news last night it showed some Irish just going to the polling stations not even knowing what the treaty is about, and some people waved their pen over both only deciding when they had the vote in front of them. Fair enough, I back the referendum and I'm pro-democracy, but you shouldn't participate in a referendum if you don't have a clue what it's about. I'm sure some people made a day of it.

They'll keep holding votes on it until it's passed probably.

Nor is it an opinion poll. I'm not obliged to post my opinion on the subject, there is no rule which forces me too. I'll also point out that there are several other threads which just have links, so how about you waste their time with your whining.

Infact; i'll even give you a hand:

If you have a problem with me not posting my opinion then in future when it says "Mudkip" scroll down a bit further. I was posting news in this section, which is the purpose of it. Do television reporters give their opinion when reporting news? No. They report it, which is just as I was doing.

The difference is news reporters are there to report on news and this forum is here to discuss and put across your opinions not spam this section with links to other sites. If every member made threads with just a URL in this forum would be a total shambles. It isn't the purpose of the section, it's the purpose of an RSS Reader.

It's also unnecessary to minus rep me for putting my opinion across.

I'm glad they did reject the EU Referendum, they're a small country but they have decided to say no to the other powerful countries :)

Thank god. Our leaders won't hold a referendum (like they promised us they would) because they knew we wouldn't want it; I'm glad that someone did. Unfortunately it's only going to delay it though rather than stop it, they'll just find other ways to get the same things in place.

Also Paddy can I steal the Jack from your sig? :P

And I reported the news so people could put their opinions across. If it was spam then it would've been closed, it isn't up to you as to what is spam and what isn't. This sections purpose is to post news so I did so accordingly. Don't make a mountain out of a molehill.

I felt it was necessary to minus rep you, so I did. If you want to talk about whats unnecessary, perhaps bringing rep up with your pointless post would be one of them. ;)

However, this forum is called World News, Politics, Religion and Philosophy.

Why are you even arguing this? He posted a news story for discussion, it's perfectly ok and it's a useful story.

Its a World New's post, if he didnt want to give his views on it and share it with us thats perfectly fine. Theres no where in the rules saying 'YOU CANNOT POST A LINK!! YOU HAVE TO PUT AN OPION ON IT!!" and until it does he can do this.

:) Im happy they rejected it.

Oh my, you even knew theres a difference between the two! :eusa_clap

One of the purposes of this section is that people post their opinions on news articles. I was just posting this article as I thought it would spark up some interest. I didn't realise that using this section for its actual purpose was going to make you get into such a state.

Anway, please be my guest and carry on whining. As for me, i'll be ignoring your future posts in this thread. I was at no fault by posting this, so I suggest that you get over it.
