My PS3 has decided to stop reading discs >.> Error 8001054

I'm not happy, 2nd time that a PS3 of mine has broken through no fault of my own!
Sony better have some 60GB models in stock... i do not want a 40GB model

Yes, because this is probably the 1st case of a broken PS3 I have heard, in comparison to the dozens I have heard from school freinds alone.

Great! Are you online? I'll add you if you are :) One good thing about Sony is that they send out a new one straight away, where Microsoft will try and fix it, taking ages doing so.

It's the second time it's happened for him, I've had a Xbox 360 since release and none of my consoles have blown or got red rings of death. ;)

However, every single one of my freinds who has an 360 has broken at least once.

xbox 360 has around a 30% failiure rate, PS3 has a less than 1%. I'm just an unlucky coincidence
