Hello,

I have a suggestion for HabboxForum,

I know all of you are sick and tired of waiting for a VIP Editor to give you VIP after you bought it by SMS, BUT...... Habbox can have a system which does it automaticly... Ohohohoh Yes!, The system is called:

Mobilebill
(www.mobilebill.net (http://www.mobilebill.net))

Features:

- Changes user VIP instantly
- Automaticly charges user 1.50 p/m (NO NEED TO KEEP SENDING TEXTS IN)
- Custom Shortcode (e.g Text : JOIN HABBOX to 78889)
- Easy Managment
- ITS FREE TO USE
- All you need to do is import a .xml file into the Products section of the CP
- Specialy designed for vBulletin
- Loads more features

So Habbox, i think ALOT of your members (including me) would love to have this system as you get VIP the second you pay and it is
EASIER TO USE!

Thanks for looking at my suggestion :)

Josh.

The problem is you can only have one V.I.P group. So only blue or only black. ect. But I used it once.

You can make different "CAMPAIGNS" on your user account on the website so you can have DIFFERENT VIP COLOURS

Good spot, I think management should atleast TRY it, and if it's successful, they should keep it :).

If it does everything we need it to I don't see a reason to not implement it, but then again I don't know the ins and outs of it so I'm not really in a position to comment ;)

If it's free also that'd be a huge bonus as that GL Pay takes huge percentages but I'm sure it's most probably to good to be true, should be looked into though.

Two things. First how much would Habbox make for each sale?

Secondly how easy it is for the member to cancel as its seems like a continous debit every month?

Secondly how easy it is for the member to cancel as its seems like a continous debit every month?

1) Habbox make the full amount of the text. So if it was 1.50, they would make 1.50.

2) There is 5 opitions. One off debit, Daily debit, weekly, monthly and yearly. Habbox would jsut use the one off debit optiion.

Mobilebill allows our customers to bill up to 30GBP per mobile handset, per day.
Mobilebill is based on the long standing telecommunicatios industry "revenue share" model. Mobilebill's payout rates are the most competitive in the industry. We take a very small percentage of revenue compared to the Mobile Phone Operators or other companies in this market. Our sms payout rate to you is one of the best in the reverse sms business, and we charge you no fees for the use or support of our service
http://mobilebill.net/images/tariff_pie_chart.png
*Prices based on a payout rate of 0.80 GBP per successful sms transaction. As of June 2008

80p will be an average, as different operators make a payout of different rates. This is worth considering due to the ease of use, what makes me wonder however is whether the plugin will now work with 3.7.1

If you go to my forum:

Look at the very bottom were it has all copyright notices, you'l see the version is 3.7.1 and im running it :P

Sounds like a good idea, if the management can buy features like a bug reporter and a chat system, then they may aswell buy/download/install this, which is afterall a feature which has an important use.

I would assume bank transfer, given it's a real company. I didn't find the information, though.

I've looked around the site and in the members part it says:

"Currently our only payout method is Paypal. We will be using other methods over the next 12 months.
Minimum Payout: £10. To create a free Paypal account click here."

MobileBill sends the Customer a unique Password to their Mobile Phone which must be entered into your website. This costs the Customer your specified billing amount either as a "one time" charge, or as a recurring subscription model, every day/week/month/year, until your customer texts "STOP" to 78889.
Our servers will authenticate the password that your user has input and instruct your software to upgrade membership status

That is from there site.

The recurring thing sounds good, although somehow i can see them charging 5 quid to stop.

I have looked into this website http://www.mobilebill.net/ and also a thread about it on vbulletin.org http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=176134 .
There are a number of issues.
The company is still quite new, which means I don't know how reliable they are. Therefore it's better to wait a while and see what experience other people have with them.
They say you have to wait 3 months before you get the money, and also they only offer payments by paypal, which means we lose another percentage.
It is always a risk to install vbulletin plugins as they might contain exploits.
I don't like to let our members be charged automatically every month until they cancel, I think it's safer to only accept one-time payments. Also I am not sure how much the users are charged in total to make such a one-time payment.

All in all I want to wait a few months to see how this develops, and to hear the experiences from other forum owners that have actually received payments from them.

I remember vbulletin.org blacklisting it for a while, now its considered ok by them though.

You should maybe try it on a few members, till you get £10 on it, then see if they pay out.

I would volunteer to do that, providing multi buys is bought in for SMS.
