Have you restarted your laptop? Make sure no wires have come loose. Does your laptop have a built in micraphone? - if yes then make sure it is muted. Is your laptop under warrenty because if the problem consists I suggest you get it checked out.

I have restarted it (as I noticed it yesterday and I haven't been on it since 7pm last night). There aren't any wires that could possibly come loose unless I take the laptop apart and take a look. The microphone shouldn't affect the sound as I always use earphones (which are brand new) and it's the same with them in anyways. And I'm not sure when the warranty runs out.
*couldn't edit.
found the problem. my dad set the sound environment as "Sewer Pipes" xD
*closed.
