Applications for the forum moderator position are now closed. Thanks to all one-hundred and nineteen of you who applied, some of the pot noodle answers were pretty good! For anyone who was wondering, no, the answer to that didn't count for/against you For the record, chicken and mushroom is my favourite.

The successful applicants have been PM'd, so if you haven't received notification by now you haven't been successful this time around. However, we are always on the lookout for fresh blood, so keep posting constructively and reporting rulebreaking when you see it and you just might be in with a shot If you didn't get in don't take it personally, choosing 6 people from 119 is no easy task and the chances are there are 113 people who are just as disappointed. You're very welcome to try again next time round though!

Why you want to become a moderator: I would love to become a moderator as I feel I have accomplished as much as I can as a regular forum individual. I help others as often as I can, I report everything I see that is against the rules and am very active on the forum (extensively - sometimes up to 9 hours!). I try to spread my posts around so that I can keep up-to-date with the rest of the forum activity and love to have a good discussion. I'd just love to help moderate the Habbox community
What you feel you can offer the team: I feel I can offer a high amount of work and obedience to the team, helping out with everyone as much as I can. I am able to learn quite quickly and I am a good listener. If someone wants the job done, I'll get the job done no matter what. I am calm-minded and always take criticisms well. If I am ever stuck with what to do, I will ask someone that is in a higher position than me and has more experience to find the answer (and obviously take it on board).
Time spent on the forums per day: On average, 6-8 hours (heh. extensive much?) when I'm back in college, it will probably be around 2-4 hours lurking and posting.
Do you like Pot Noodles (incredibly important): Occasionally, yes. (Lamb Hot Pot, Chinese Chow Mein & Tikka Masala).

Why you want to become a moderator: I want to become a forum moderator for a number of reasons. First of all, I was a moderator in a runescape based forum and I loved the responsibility, sadly I only spent 4 weeks before it shut down. I really enjoyed it and it would be great to become a Moderator here. Also, Habbox has a great atmosphere and it would be really good for me if I could help patrol the forums with my magnifying glass, Detective Xonph eh?
What you feel you can offer the team: Although when I moderated the Runescape based forum it was not V-Bulletin, I picked up how to use the forum well. I know most of the rules inside out, what you can and can't do. I've been on Habbox for a long time, not as long as you of course, but I've picked up a few tips along the way. Also, I can offer Habbox my fair judgement, I'm helpful and kind, just the qualities a forum Moderator needs.
Time spent on the forums per day: I am normally on the forums for atleast 3-4 on weekdays and even more on weekends, I have no exams which mean I can spend a lot of time on here.
Do you like Pot Noodles (incredibly important): Now, I don't really know if this is a joke question which is set to trick us out, so I'll answer truthfully. I like pot noodles, especially beef and tomato.

Why you want to become a moderator:
I would love to become a moderator as I have been a part of this great community for quite some time now and I would be very happy to be able to give something back to the Forum, perhaps in the form of moderation! Whilst I’m on the Forum I always try to act as maturely and in most cases professionally as possible which I think is a must for all moderators. I also would like (in fact, love!) to become a moderator as I’ve been trying to help the Forum and its community for some time now (and I’d love to take this to the next level). This has even involved me speaking with ---MAD--- to try to improve the quality of communication on the Forum and also to improve the way some users are behaving on the forum. This, as you may have noticed, resulted in the addition of the Coding Community section inside the Web Development forums. This Forum offers users to ask questions in a friendly, safe environment without being in fear of being ‘flamed’ or ‘trolled’. This is what my attitude towards the Forum is all about; all I want to do is try to improve the Forum’s community and the way users behave towards each other!

What you feel you can offer the team:
I feel that I could offer an increased sense/feel of maturity and professionalism for the team as well as the Forum’s community whilst also being friendly and social ! I also feel that because (as I’ve previously mentioned before) I have been a member of the Forum for quite some time now, I actually think that I know the Forum rules inside out and so I feel that I would be able to warn/infract users correctly or simply divert their actions so that they don’t break the Forum rules.

Time spent on the forums per day:
Honestly, I spend most of my day/free time on the Forum. This is usually around 4-6 hours per week day and probably even more on a weekend.

Its funny because as much as its not about activeness, I've got alot of VBulletin experience, fgs I owned and managed one once... Pretty damn easy system lol, and I had the same views on the Moderation system today too. Ah well, I won't be applying again because by this time next year, I'll be moderating for a game. ;D

Do you like Pot Noodles (incredibly important): Well the story of the pot noodles is actually very interesting. I am sure wikipedia will give answers about who likes pot noodles, but I will save you the hassle and say yes (that is what I assume you want to hear – Even though I hate them! )

Dom no offense or anything but you're not applying for a fulltime job with a healthy wage. Your application sounds so professional its almost unprofessional. That sounds stupid I know, but you've gone for quantity not quality which I think is why your app wern't accepted.

I dont think he cares whether you can do MOD actions or not, because you get trained them either way. Also if you knew enough about Feedback forum, only management moderate the Feedback forum. I'm not even sure SMODs get to touch this forum lol.

Dom, there's something called constructive criticism. I just gave it to you, now listen to it or submit the same stuff you did for the last application round, for the next app round and see how far you get.

Seriously, don't give me that bullcrap about how you didn't post it for anyone to criticise it, because thats like making a movie and thinking NO-ONE will think its bad. that just doesnt happen. Fair enough if you wanted to write it to the best of your ability, I'm not criticisng that but there's a way of writing an application which doesn't bore the skull out of people. If I was the MOD manager and I read that, I'd say that you overthink it completely and you just need to be relaxed and yourself about it.
