If you tar the file then it saves folder permissions that way the user doesn't have to do it themselves :)

Added thumbnail list below the notices, they'll just stack against eachother so you don't have to go down the page to find the image you're looking for, e.g:

And decreased the thumbnails to a more reasonable size.
