View Full Version : What is the "right" way to turn off your 360?

Do you just

1) Press the power button?
2) The guide button on the controller, then shut down?

depends what i'm doing. if i'm just turning it off to do some work or watch tv i press the power button. but if i'm going to bed or going out i switch it off at the wall.

usually just press the power button on the 360, my controllers naff so it usually just turns itself off and not the 360 so I have to press the button anyway.

I heard you're meant to dashboard to slow the disc down then either way.

I normally turn it off using the controller, but sometimes I will turn it off with the power button :)

I thought it didn't matter with games consoles?

I just do whichevers easiest. Usually at power button.
