Well people say my hair is soft so ill tell you what I use.

Tressemme Salon Silk shampoo and conditioner,
Loreal Paris Studio Hot Straight to protect the hair from heat,
Blow-dry it,
Then straighten it with GHD's

Splitends always happen eventually so just get a trim every few months.

Those stuff work fine on my hair which is dark brown and quite thick with lots of natural kinks. The GHD's work really good and make my hair very soft and shiny.

Okay, sorry to 'steal the tread' but, how can you do this if your hair is about the same size as this (http://images.jupiterimages.com/common/detail/75/92/22899275.jpg), but add another centimetre and a half?

The only way to avoid split ends is to get your hair constantly cut.

It also depends on the actual hair itself. Some people naturally have silky hair etc.

i know this might sound stupid but people always say how nice, soft & smooth my hair is.

My hair is light brown/dark blonde and is in the middle of being naturally straight and wavy lol.

What i do to get it straight, smooth and silky is :

Wash with pantene pro v Classic Care/ Smooth & sleek
Condition with Pantene Ice Shine conditioner
Leave it to dry natually
Use some sort of frizz ease
and straighten with my Mark Hill straightners.

use your shampoo like 3 times, then put conditioner in, and wash it out, then blow dry it.

you, lol
Right, lol well if your hairs that short i don't think you'd be bothered about silkiness and splitends

Getting it cut like everyone else has said just trimmed every 6 weeks ish. Apart from that what I do is

- Rotate shampoo and conditioner, I use original source tea tree an mint or ..whatever it is, and then herbal essence..seems to work for me but you gotta rotate cause if you use one for too long you stop seeing good results.
- Avonnnnnn dry end serum works wonders :P
And sometimes if it just starts looking mank if you use a teeny tiny bit of sweet almond oil rub it into your hands and put it on n wash it out but dont use conditioner as well... just make sure you get all of it out or else its gunna look mega greasy... same with the serum
