View Full Version : New Feature Ideas for VVIP

I realise there is a thread on VVIP, but thats just full of people going "Too expensive. Cant afford it. Needs new features". Most people arent stating what new features there are, and the people who are, their posts are getting less notice as most people are like "Too expensive"
So I am starting this thread to suggest possible new features only which could be introduced to VVIPs. This will keep all the ideas together :)
If you dont like hxf, hxf staff, VVIP, their prices or this thread, then I honestly dont care, just dont reply. Report the thread and leave it upto a moderator.
Below are the a few new ideas I would like to see being introduced for VVIPs as it is expensive and most people on here are just teenagers. I think these new ideas would make people think VVIP is worth purchashing.
No adverts for VVIP's. If they are paying £4 a month, then its really covering their quota of the adsense. Even though most people could just use AdBlock, this would be a nice incentive.
Free Sub-Forum. I am not sure how much a sub-forum costs now, but it would be a great feature. Maybe even like "Get 1 month free" and after that you have to pay.
Extra Signature Lines
Maybe a small star next to their name so the VVIP's stand out.
More reputation points per month.
Able to 'trash' their threads. You could install a modification from vBulletin.org (I realise you guys dont like installing modifications but its just an idea), and you could allow VVIPs to trash their threads so its moved to "Unacceptable Posts" or "Trashed Threads" which can only be seen by Administrators and Super Moderators.
Allow the use of 'Message Tracking'.
Allow them to use 'User Notes'. I realise many memebrs have usernotes from the old warning system, but you could mass-prune them all. These could be used by VVIPs as a reminder or for notes. VVIPs would only be able to post usernotes about themselves. Maybe even allow others to see them but not post any replies etc.
Install more arcade games. You really need a few more :)
Longer post editing time.
New user title image thing :P They all say "Habbox VIP" instead of "Habbox VVIP". Or maybe create them after you think of a better name.
VVIP's own forum lounge with seperate competitions maybe. :)
These are just a few ideas. I am sure many people have more. If you do, please post it here :)

I have bolded the ones I both like and think are most practical to happen. Doesn't mean it will though but I personally think those 5 are good :)

I like the sound of most of them and I would possibly buy it, if it had more features like these - Particularly the longer editing time, Extra sig lines, Free sub-forum & No adverts.
Although some of them are good ideas, I don't think the User Notes idea would be used as the moderation system uses them.
I had an idea for a feature last night, but I've forgot what it was now.
edit: remembered it, i think. I don't think this is possible as I'm sure it means going into the ModCP, but my idea was going to be that instead of posting in the VIP features thread, VVIP's could have access to creating their own html usertitle.

how about access to a vvip's only forum?
how about access to a vvip's only forum?
That's a good idea, nice and seclusive.
Also, in reply to my post above, if that isn't possible what about being able to set a default html usertitle as when you change VIP colour, it always resets your usertitle to "Habbox V.I.P"

I also think we should be able to edit our own usertitles with colours etc. Instead of posting it in the thread for Nick- to do.

I'm sure they don't allow you to do that as you could exploit the use of html.

I dont even think thats possible.
I dont even think thats possible.
It would be, if we had access to the ModCP, but that won't be happening and MAD just sent out a mass PM to the six VVIP's about him trying to fix it so it doesn't break the html usertitle you already have.

Well, if we are paying £4 a month, they should trust us, even if someone does its not hard to ban them.

Perhaps if you are VVIP, you can buy reputation again.
Change the name to VIP+ - Much more attractive.
Able to do your own user titles.
More VIP games.
VIP forum access
Longer editing time.
All good fpr me.

I am sure you cant edit an user's setting with ModCP. Also if you had access to modcp, you would be able to look at other users personal data.
Also only Super Moderators use ModCP. Normal Moderators cannot use it.

you can edit in modcp, it's what smods use.

Mod's cannot even see mod cp can they?
And I alsways thought only management could actually edit, Super MOD's can only view?

Mod CP will be out of the question, the only way to edit users detail is via the Admin CP. Mod CP can only view the details.
Longer editing time can't be done as it's a global setting, not set per usergroup.
Usernotes are still used as part of the moderation process so that's a no go.
The rest as I said, look feasable.

Somebody passed my test, naturally that was intentional so I know who is capable of my new plans for world domination. Welcome aboard.
I like the idea of VVIPS own VVIP section :8

Why? the current VIP sub forum is dead as hell.

As long as buying rep points doesn't return I think most people will be happy. It destroys the point of the reputation system :P

Woah, vBulletin are crap! With IPB and SMF you could set an edit time per group (unless SMF has changed since the last time I used it :P)

- Allow them to upload animated avatars
- Larger font in signature?
- VVIP subforum, not like the vip one but more like the staff section
- Free Subforum?
- Track PM's
- Extra attachment size?
- No adverts
- See who is invisible

They cant upload animated avatars? :o Didnt know that. I thought anyone could ... ?
I am not too sure about "See who is invisible" idea. I think its better that only managers, super moderators and admins get that feature.

Perhaps that should be able to see plans for the forum in advance.
Anyway when are they planning on updating the VIP page?!
