I've seen The Enemy twice now, and they wonder around my town quite alot as the frontman lives there.
But I think they are absolute crap now.

i've seen the enemy twice, brilliant. saw one of their 6 shows at astoria, best gig i've been to all year. & i think their debut album is pretty flawless, listened to it countless times.

I've seen them 3 or so times... never meant to see them, it just kinda happens. Met them a few times too.
Yeah, their album is amazing - one of the few where I've enjoyed every song - but I doubt they can follow it up. They became too big too fast.
But yeah, Coventry's a dosshole. Who'd want to live there? ;)

its true that they became big too fast..
i remember when 'it's not ok' came on mtv2 and i didn't know them and noone else did then, i loved that from when i first heard it. and then suddenly they became big and they're good and everything but i don't know why it happened that fast ;s
and yeahh i met them at a signing too.

i can't take the enemy seriously for 2 reasons
- theyre all way too short
- their style is way too similar to The Jam
but they are half decent live, i'll give them that one

The drummer is worse! It's all about the bassist, my friend.

the reason they got so big is because they made catchy & brilliant songs that got lots of radio/tv-play. and imo they deserve it. i don't care that they got big in a short space of time, they deserve to with their debut album. hopefully they'll follow up with a great second album. but with most artists their debut is pretty much usually their best because they want to try & get noticed/get big. and once they do, they usually don't try so hard with the next album.

i really hope they bring a second album out soon, i'm just starting to get bored of their debut after about 100 listens.

Nope, unless he has moved within the last week. He lives at the top of my town, but i'll agree that he is rather ugly. Poor guy got called mousey.

like arctic monkeys, the first album was bloody brilliant, but the second album paled in comparison

I have to agree with you, I loved their first album but after listening to about two songs from their second I just gave up and thought "yet another band who dissapoint when asked to make a second album :("

For once, I actually have to agree with you.

The second one isn't that bad. The first one is good but the second one has some good songs on it.

yeah but the thing with arctic monkeys is their first is one of the best 21st century british albums, so although their 2nd album is good, it'll always look mediocre in comparison.
The drummer is worse! It's all about the bassist, my friend.
ANDY ANDY ANDY ANDY! andy's fiiiiiiiineeee.
