Will Rock Band USA work on a UK PS3?

I'm looking to buy Rockband for the PS3 and as it is not out in the UK on the PS3 untill September I want to buy it from the USA off Amazon.

Does anyone know if this version of the game will work on the UK PS3 System?

Your correct Kardan sort of, it's what I thought but I just researched the matter and developers can optionally region lock games if they want, however it is rare.

The bad news is Rock Band is region locked.

Edit: Just looked a bit more and some say it's region free, try searching 'ROCK BAND PS3 REGION FREE' on Google, people are saying different things, I personally wouldn't risk it.

Yes it will work 100% certain.

BUT, I wouldn't do it. You won't have any warranty on your peripherals which you need.

My friend bought it from the US in March and it works. You will have to buy the DLC from the US store though with a US credit card or something. I was gunna get it from America but thought it would be too much hassle with the DLC so decided to just wait till it comes out on PS3 here.

Thanks guys. I've heard that if any of the instruments do break I could give them to a UK store without the receipt and they would replace it for me. Is this true?

No, you'd need the receipt as that is the standard of all stores.
