I would recommend the iPod Touch, Great device with its multi-touch service and jail-breaking it opens to a whole new experience. Even the 2.0 firmware update will be fantastic for it as well!

It really depends on your budget and what you want. Do you want a basic device that's small and holds a decent amount of songs? The nano.
You wanna watch videos, and have you entire libary on your ipod? Classic, though its bigger.
You wanna hold alot of songs and look classy? touch, it's really good.

^ All information, features etc.
Prices do vary so check the Apple site for the start, then places like Amazon, Ebuyer, Ebay and whatever else there is.

i'd say ipod classic, it holds much more than the touch and it's a lot cheaper, but yeah it depends, if you want the internet n that then the touch. dixons is the cheapest place i've seen. http://www.dixons.co.uk/martprd/editorial/newipod

YoYoTech is a legit company. They sell their iPods without the firmware upgrades, but you can upgrade to 1.1.4 for free, then jailbreak and get the Update packs, then you can just buy 2.0 and it still works out cheaper than buying direct from Apple.

Yo Rich,
I would go for the touch. Had mine since christmas, had no problems, no regrets. There are SO many more features than the original looking iPods. Its touchscreen! :D
The other up-side is that either Tomorrow or July 5th/11th, theres an iPod update which will allow you to add new programs, like games, utilities and other fun stuff! :D
Go for the iPod touch! :D

Does jailbreaking void the warranty?

Does jailbreaking void the warranty?
Hey there,
Jail-breaking does void the warranty, well thats what I have heard and read. Although you shouldn't have any problems while Jail-breaking it or using it if you use programs such as ziPhone (Works for the iPod Touch as well) (Windows & Mac). If you do have a such problem it can be easily fixed by the most of the time by the simple "Restore" function or people on iPod/Apple forums will be also happy to help if you have any real problems. Shouldn't be too much hassle really, its done in like 5 minutes at the max?
