We're currently in the process of over looking the Zedtu brand to improve and reorganize the website's potential. So this is just a quick thread to ask if you think our new brand identity is an improvement/backtrack on what we originally had;

The first one has nothing special.

it may look standard and "unprofessional" to the untrained eye, but you will find that the simpler the logo is, the more appealing it is. The second one has a design that is similar to everyone else's that is why it is not as effective.

That and the font on the second one is crap, serif fonts are the best.

One thing I've noticed is the first one actually took less time to make than the second one. The first one is just text.

That's not part of the logo, that's just the banner it was sitting on. The reason for the logo change is because it has to look good on print and signs which the current one doesn't. As we're not just based on the internet anymore.

Hmm, what settings do you have the outer glow at? Also try removing the 1px border.

I prefer the first concept than the second. The first one has the smart idea yet the second is more practical. I don't like the shaddow on the second neither, it looks wierd.

I got bored so I spent three minutes curing my bordem in photoshop. I'm not saying you should use it, nor is it perfect.

Really don't like that Craig. It does not look professional at all, good for a logo for an application but not a professional 'brand'.

Based upon the first one without the background doesnt look that great, I would have to say the 2nd greg as its the only one out of the 2 that looks like a logo.

Yeah, it was my amazing 3 minute boredom cure. As I say your first logo is better than the second on a web page, but the second is more practical.

It all depends on what the actual layout it's going to be used on looks like, both are ok but you could say the 2nd one is quite overused by too many people now ;).
