no matter what language your tryping on word/notepad or whatever you can print it in ANY language you want. HOW COOL IS THAT?

my school was saying how they are going to get one in the technology office so if we want to write to people abroad we can and print it in their language.

i was like OMG AWESOME!

apparently it takes a long time because it reads and changes every letter individually but just wow. though it wont scan into another language or photocopy into another language. just off the computer.

Doubt it can translate the grammar so what's the point?

yeh sort of but ANY language and its like the first ever printer to do that. its pretty impressive. It is impressive but computer translation is poor everywhere. The online one's have much more money and time poured into them and they're always being updated.

This'll be limited, in the future they could take off but this is about 15 years early for reliable translations.

Like its going to translate anything properly, it will be full of errors.

They're trying to address a problem which doesn't really exist.

apparently it has regular updates and has a certain ammout of people for each language and apparently english to japanese works REALLY well but as you say, i doubt the grammar will be that good but then again, its probably better than learning it and writing it yourself.

Pics or it didn't exist.

It would only be useful if the translation was more accurate then online translators.

Tbh companys would be the only people to have a need for this, and they have people to translate who would do a better job at translating something then a computer.

Yeah true point, but if you think about it if the technology improves, then they would go for the cheaper option of a printer that would be less money than paying a human translator in the long run.

I'd feel sorry for the poor person reading the letter. It'd be full of errors. Even online translators are useless so I expect a printer to be even worse...
