on these type of people,
"Oh i don't mind gay people, just as long as they aren't gay infront of me"
to be honest, that really upsets me, especially when some friends of mine used to say it before i told them all.
I think it's like a way of them getting out of the sense of being homophobic, but yet not wanting to accept it was a normal thing or something. I dunno, but to be honest i like kissing in public because it makes me feel just like an average couple. oh i dunno..
just this has got to me when i was thinking about it

well that's my opinion, as long as two blokes don't get off with eachother in front of me i couldn't care less, i don't really want to see them doing it. two girls then it's a different story ;)

As a lesbian myself, I don't see any problem with. I understand that people can be okay with being gay but not wanting to see it because I don't want to see people, no matter what sexuality and/or who their partner is getting off with each other and groping each other in public, a kiss or holding hands is okay but any more then that and I think it's something you should save for the private of your own home unless of course the place your in isn't that public.

Same here. Too many people do it to show off.

same ..
well it's kind of alright if you do it yourself, but watching other people getting off with eachother is about as enjoyable as watching flog it.
So yeah, it doesn't really matter about their sexuality.

I think you'd need to challenge this person further to determine what they mean by being 'gay' in front of them.

I used to find people who were gay wierd and didn't like them. Habbo and Habbox has changed that for me coz I've met loads of mint people who're gay/bi or w.e. Now I couldn't give a toss.

And if people can't accept that then they need to get a life, half of britian is gay, it doesnt make it wrong.

First off how can you be "gay" in front of people? You're either gay or you're not so the people who say "don't be gay in front of me" should be punched. Second of all, you don't have to watch people kiss in public so there's no need to complain really lol.

As long as they don't bother me, I'm fine with them. What I really hate though is the extremely camp people, they are nothing but annoying and most of the time, fake as faux fur.

Yeah, I'm gay but those gays annoy me endlessly. There's being gay and then there is straight up wanting to be a girl. Fair enough, be flamboyant about your sexuality but only to a certain extent - no need to suffocate everybody else with the feminine actions.

Like the guy who I know when he went to my old school who dresses like a girl, idolises Chris Crocker and Jeffree Star, and whose MSN name is, "Just a girl with a penis"...

I hate when people are like that its just like well like its ok if they dont want to see anyone kissing in public but they cant say ohh i like lesbians so they can kiss and because im straight i can kiss in public. Basically i think everyone has public displays of affection or no one does you cant get picky about it.

Tbh the world would be soooo much easier if everyone was bisexual you'd have 2x as much chance of finding your solemate and you could have sex with twice as many people!

Not really cos straight people can have sex just as much as bisexual people just with one sex. straight/gay people can have sex more times than bisexuals.. Being Bi just means you can have both..

Aslong as their not being over-affectionate, I'm alright with it.
Anyway if you're not happy with someone getting off with eachother turn the other way. :P

I couldn't care less to be honast, half of the people I know probably think I am gay since me and my best friend act like a married couple half the time :P, If they're happy and open, there isn't any issue for me to be bothered about.

I dont mind gay pepole at all, im fine with it. I just dont like public displays of affection right in front of my face.
I have no other issue with gay people, i couldnt careless as long as they arent touchy feely or w.e in front of me. :)

Why does that upset you?
I don't find a problem with any thing your friends are saying, I'm sure you as a homosexual male doesn't like a male and female kissing, or a female and a female. You have to remember homosexuality has only became legal in the UK in the last few decades, many of the older generations are still highly against it aswell as religion, meaning that the 'anti-gay' views are still passed on. 'Build a bridge and get over it'. If you think what they are saying is bad, you have ALOT worse to come.

Now, I'm gay and still kiss my boyfriend in public. why? because in all fairness I couldn't care less what people think about it, if being around him and holding his hand etc makes me happy then stuff everyone else. If they don't like it they can look the other way easily.

So your saying no one should kiss in public, not even straight people.

Everyone is entitled to kiss in public, if it's okay for straight people to do it, then it should be fine for gay/bi-sexuals to kiss in public too.. aslong as it's just moderate kissing, not sucking each others faces off :/

I come from Italy. The situation in Italy is far more difficult than in the UK: we are influenced by Vatican, who would prefer to burn themselves rather than saying that homosexuality is normal and doesn't come from Satan.
There's also a lot of ignorance in Italy: We have teenagers who thinks that if you don't hate gays, you're gay. Never heard of that teen commiting suicide because everyone in his class said he was gay ? Pfff... :|

IMO I think that homosexuality is normal: we're still talking about love and attraction, things that we find in straight relationships too.

I also agree with Vicky-Pollard about kissing in public: I was in the tube and there was a straight couple "sucking each others faces off" in front of two old ladies. They were so embarassed (I mean the old ladies of course)... :P
