Hello,

So! I got a place in Air Traffic Control for work experiance at Cranfield! Apparently they train us the first week and let us do stuff on our own the second! :) They let us spend a day in the fire station, take us on a flight, show us how to file flight plans and loooads more.

But I have to go for an interview! :(

What type of things will they ask? I shouldn't think it will be a proper one.

Thanks

I think they will be more interested in peoples appearance, attitude and want to hand pick the people.

So it may be more like tasks.

I've chosen my work experience already (i'm going to be a car mechanic:P) but I didn't need an interview...

They'll probably just ask stuff like why you chose that position, your hobbies/interests, your opinions on various subjects (group/solo work/talks) and they'll probably question your bad behaviour should you have had any in the past.

They could ask you why you want to do work experience there, so have some form of answer thought about. They'll probably just mainly ask about your interests etc.

Ohhh, cool tom : )

I'm off to EGGW for a week (starting on Monday), which will be great :)
Terminal Operations,
Airfield Environment,
Airfield Safety,
Centre Operations [ATC],
IT Technical Support [Check in desks etc]
Security Operations.

They'll most probably be interested in your appearance and personality. :) They'll put you in situations probably.

It'll be the basic

"Why do you want experience here?"
"What you most interested in?"
"What are you hoping to learn from your time?"
"What do you want to do when you're older?"

You'll be fine :)

"Have you been a naughty boy in the past?"
"Yes. Yes I have. I wouldn't hire me if I was you"

Are you sure they'd ask that?

I'm thinking of writing to BBC Points West, and ITV The West Today.

If not, some local Radio Stations. :D

I am starting tomorrow. For the first week I am going to a local *REMOVED* newspaper, and second week I am going to where my dad works, which is to all intent and purposes a stock broker.
