Trying to be realistic

All my friends tell me I'm pretty. But aren't friends supposed to say that. When it comes to lads liking me however thats where I have a problem. They always go for the girls who are gorgeous and don't even notice us who are just pretty but plain. What can I do.

If they dont say anything about your looks then well, they dont think your the best looking but if they say your pretty then your mates mean it :D:D

But even if you are completely and utterly stunning, but your really shy, lads arn't going to want you (most lads wont unless they like shy girls), they like confident girls, personality over-rides looks eventually.
So just get out there, show some confidence, and talk to them.

as a guy myself, confidence isnt a trait i look into very much unless its irritatingly high or irritatingly low. if anything i kinda like shy girls better. they're pretty gosh darn cute. confidence is something that girls look for in guys, not really the other way around too much.

Its all about if you think your pretty, if you think you don't your gonna go through life thinking that. You can't sit there waiting for other people to call you pretty 24.7.

Just because a boy hasn't asked you out yet dosn't mean nothing, dont make yourself look like a *REMOVED* because your insecure at the moment, thats the stupid way through it.

Just be yourself, and you know what beauty is in the eye of the beholder, if your ugly someone in this *REMOVED* world is bond to find you the woman of there dreams, no matter what.

I don't know. My friends tell me the same thing and I NEVER believe them. But it's weird, if a guy tells me I'm pretty, I'll believe them. Friends don't have to tell you that, and knowing my friends - if I was ugly, they would tell me. But I've kind of stopped relying on guys to believe whether I am pretty or not.

I think friends do it to actually give you some confidence so that you'll believe in yourself.
Just because you don't think your "gorgeous" doesnt mean that there aren't other traits a guy looks for in a girl. You just have to wait until the right guy comes along.
