1. Yes but I don't know anything about it, sorry :P
2. There's a load of stuff that sticks in the registry and other places even when you get rid of programs. It's annoying but won't really affect you unless you have LOTS of things going. Can get rid of it through registry editor but if you don't know what you're doing you could destroy your PC doing that, so not advised.
3. Do you mean for the same program? ie; download trial version, uninstall it before trial runs out and get it again for full trial period again. If that's what you mean some will allow it but others are smarter and remember your computer somehow. If you mean separate programs, the only limit is how much space you have on disk.
4. Nope. I have AVGFree and it updates most days. There was a problem with it a while back where it tried forcing people to upgrade to the paid version or wouldn't work, but it's fine now in my experience.
5. No idea, I'd stick with AVG though as it's never given me real problems

Question 1: Basically i've always wondered can windows xp be converted to windows vista by that cd you can buy?
Yes it can, the prices of the disks can be found here; https://emea.microsoftstore.com/UK/DesktopDefault.aspx/tabid-2/?et_cid=8&et_lid=87. If you dont want to pay all that money you could torrent it, its illegal but would save you lots of money.
Question 2: Why when unistalling programs such as avg, doesn't all the files go ?
I unistalled it via control panel then rebooted etc... and when using
start ----> search ----> avg -----> Some files are stilll there...
All files should go, appart from the files in the "application data" folder and in your registry. And i think AVG 7.5 leaves a few dll files as well.
Question 3: Is there a limit on the number of programs that you can download such as trial versions of programs? Can you download 1 then unistall it via control panel then install another trial version program?
If its the same program you cant just uninstall it and install it again, the trial will still have ran out. If its a different program, EG Photoshop and Dreamweaver then you can install Photoshop for 30 days then install Photoshop 30 days later. If you want the full version of a program you can find a keygen for it on www.keygen.ms (http://www.keygen.ms) or www.crack.ms (http://www.crack.ms).
Question 4: Is it true that avg free edition stop doing updates?
AVG 7.5 will stop doing updates soon, but if you upgrade to AVG 8 (Free) that won't.
Question 5: Is Avira AntiVir Personal - FREE Antivirus any good?
Ive never heard of it :P
THANKS :)
