Sorry for another post on TehUpload, but I seem to have gotten some pretty good response from this.
The application development is going pretty good, and I have made some pretty good progress overnight.. and I am learning so much from it, and expanding my knowledge of desktop programming.
Sooooooo!
I need some ideas for the application. I am hoping to make this a pretty great software release, so that it becomes useful for a lot of people.
At the moment the features are:
Capture Screen (Screenshot of full screen)
Upload Images (by dragging them onto the window, you can then view and remove them before uploading)
Upload Confirmation (Yes/No to upload, shows picture thumbnail to preview)
Capture Area (Drag/Drop and then upload, confirmation)
TehUpload console (main window which you can access these features if you do not want to right click on the icon in the taskbar)
Hide (hide the TehUpload console, and send it to the taskbar)
So give me some ideas! :)
Thanks.
Caleb
Sounds like a longshot, but you mentioned you want to be doing file uploads,
maybe screen recording?
Film a 5 minute clip, etc?

When you click capture screen it should ask you if you want the image to be private (so it doesnt appear on the recent images).

I don't think file uploads will be part of the application, due to the fact that it is sending the file as a POST request to the server. If I wanted to upload files through the application, I would have to find a better way.

I have now included a feature that allows you to type in a URL, and grab a screenshot of the URL as it would appear on a 1280x1024 screen.

I don't believe people understand.. I can't do that.
I am a Windows Developer.. I own Windows computers.. I can not develop and test on a MAC if I don't have one.. and I am not going out to buy one just to develop it.
I have said it numerous times.. if someone would like to develop the application for TehUpload for a Mac, or any other Operating System.. I would love to talk to them.

Just added the 'Private' feature that someone requested, it is now on the confirmation page, as a button in the middle.

I have also added a 'Twitter Feed' to the site, so you can view live development notes on what I am doing, and what features I have added to the site/application.

Why, it is just an image uploading application, not an editor.. so I don't think that would be a widely used feature.

True, but it would help some people a hell of a lot.
Possibly release another version, the 'designer' version, with the watermark feature added on to help web designers and stuff?
I personally wouldn't do it, but pfft, it could help you expand your coding knowledge.

For what..? There aren't any questions.. other then "Are you sure you want to upload this image?"
There may be a time you accidently select the wrong area.. and you don't want to upload it.. so I don't see where that would come in 'handy'.

Personally i would use the watermarking tool as it saves around 10minutes when uploading images for eBay.

Also, I have made the Console longer now, so that it isn't cramped wit buttons.

I have also fixed the 'Upload Images' feature, it now allows you to browse for files as well as drag them into the program.
I'll make a video in a moment demonstrating some functions.

Hi,
Looking superb!
If I may suggest one thing; perhaps introduce a progress bar or text that shows how far it is uploading the user's files. That way, the user isn't left in the dark when it comes to the file's being uploaded.
Other than that, good work, and I wish you the best of luck for the future.
Thank you.

At the moment my skills aren't that good at C# to create that, but I will read up on it :)

Make your own watermarks and people can choose which one to choose or have none.
Like make your own like -- Demo, Watermarked etc.

Which would require making a directory structure, plus adding even more graphical editing to the client, and I'm not sure how to overlay, which would get into x,y coordinates which I'm no good at :P
I think the watermarking system is out of the question. At the momentooo!
