Friends: The Movie

There's been discussions about making a Friends movie after the long wait, according to HEAT magazine, after the sucess of series turnt movie "Sex In The City".

The six stars of TV sensation FRIENDS are in negotiations to stage a comeback in a major Hollywood film that could net them $19 million each.

Think it will be a sucess, or will one of them back out? Would you go to see it?

Plus, the series was excellent I'd love to know what happened to them - I liked Friends more then Sex In The City.

I've watched all the friends episodes because its so damn funny :) I would definitely watch the movie although it wouldnt be a good idea and I think they should just make more series which would be cooler ;)

I doubt it would happen but by no means would it be more successful than SATC. Just watch lots of old sitcoms try and make a movie out of their shows now that SATC did.

I love friends, but I think if there was a movie, it wouldn't live up to the expectation and would be disapointing. I think the way the series ended was good, and there isn't a real need to bring it back.

sorry but this film if it went a head could make her so much more money than a few reasonable selling films that she could have in her future, if anything the film would bring the attention back on her and she'd be wanted for more roles.

I think it's a stupid idea really. I love the show and everything but it fits better as a show. You have an episode where something happens and everything and then something different happens in the other one, I just don't see how they could make it all into a movie.

At the end of Friends, Monica & Chandler moved away with Joey and didn't Rachel go to Paris or something? How will you make them all come back to the apartment if they are going to shoot it there and what not. You'd need something decent enough to make them all come back unless you do a renioun and then you need something good that's going to last a movie not the half an hour the episodes last. It'll be crap.

Heat can't put things in there magazine that hasn't been said. An its in alot of magazines actually, so I'm guessing there is some truth in it m'dear.
In both places they have stated Jennifer is scared it will ruin the reflect of her 'more sensiable' actress career, since Friends is a comedy where she was abit of a dimwit in, that do's make sense.
An just because your best friend signs up to something, don't mean they will. Courtney Cox hasn't been in the limelight for ages she's jumping at this offer, Jennifer has and maybe it dosn't seem a good idea to her?

Maybe she'll come around, maybe not.
I just dont see papers putting a whole story in on something that do's not have some truth in.

If I'm honest whenever I see Jennifer Aniston I still kinda think of her as Rachel in friends and she always seems to have the same kind of role in romcoms so it's a bit late for her to start worrying about being type cast lol. Jennifer Aniston has no acting career away from friends, all her movies were garbage.

Producers would need to tread carefully with this one, on one hand it could be amazing and a huge hit, but it'd be a shame if it did end up failing. Not only would it disapoint millions of fans across the globe, but it'd ruin the legacy of one of the best sitcoms ever.

They can't say its been confirmed that the movie is being made, and they have as Jen agree'd.

Its in afew magazines, and well everyone writes **** about Britney Spears - it sells.

As we revealed in this week’s heat, plans for a Friends movie are gathering speed – and it’s now emerged that Jennifer Aniston has finally been persuaded that it is a good idea, meaning that production could start within 18 months. On friends, you've got Joey in Hollywood, Monica and Chandler in the Suburbs and everyone else is god knows where. I think it'd be very baby-centric. I can imagine the storyline is that Monica magically gets pregnant because she's so happy and Pheobe gets pregnant and so does Rachel and then its all about their pregnancies and then Joey, now a big star, returns to see his friends and his career goes down the pan etc etc

Or a Ross/Rachel wedding.
